Parent Object

A parent object is a term used in web development that refers to an object or element that is the direct ancestor of another object or element within the same document tree. Example

To better understand the concept of parent objects, consider the following example:

In this example, the div element with an id of parent is the parent object, and the three p elements are its child elements. We can use CSS to apply a style to all of the child elements of the div parent object, like this:

This CSS code sets the color of all p elements that are descendants of the div element with an id of parent to red. This is possible because the p elements are child elements of the div parent object.
